Then and Now Automotive Staff Profile

Tony Scopelleti
I have been in the automotive field for over 45 years. I worked as a mechanic for the Dept. of Defense for 35 years, for the Army and Navy. When I retired in 2003, I wanted a part time job, so I came to Then And Now with the intention of working a few days a week to keep busy. Seven years later, I'm here over 45 hours a week! Believe me, looking up parts for antique vehicles is totally different than fixing them. With the help of Tom, Lisa, Jack, and Mike, I have learned quite a bit about this business, and picking up more every day. In my spare time, I am a licensed MA. Auto Appraiser specializing in old and vintage vehicles. Here is a picture of my 1967 Pontiac GTO. I look forward to talking to, and helping you with the parts you need for your restoration project.
Jack Lynch

January 2011 starts my 53rd year in the auto parts business. I started out in 1958 and stayed with the same company until 1986. In January 1986, I heard about a store that was catering to people restoring old cars. This sounded like a great opportunity to use all the skills I have gained over the past 40+ years and put them to use. I came to Then and Now Automotive as a manager and to lend my knowledge of old car parts. My specialties include cars from the 30's, 40's and 50's, because like I always say, "I was there".
Lisa Pawlik

I started out in the automotive parts business as an inventory control person, just playing around in the books in my free time. Over the next several years I learned more about cars and eventually made the move to Then & Now. Now I had another challenge, I had to become familiar with cars made before I was born. Now I can look up parts for for most of the old cars out there, from a fuel pump for a 1936 Buick to a transmission mount for a 1965 Chrysler. When you call for a part for something, old or new, you can feel confident that I can really help you.

Mike Casella
My mechanical background dates back to the early 1960's taking apart small engines just to find out how and why they did what they did. Over the next 10 years I figured out the why and how and started repairing them. I worked at various garages as a mechanic until I realized it was the supplier part of the automotive world I had to be in. During the early 1970's I took up drag racing. I ran a rear engine dragster along with many other race cars over the next 10 years or so. After my bout with race cars, I decided to try building my own car. During that time, I hand built a 1923 Ford Model T roadster,  bought a 1938 Plymouth 2 door sedan, and hand-built a 1932 Ford. I got back into my first love of drag racing in 2000 in a rather big way with a 1960 Chevrolet BelAir. As the 2009 racing season came to a close, we decided to sell the car and turn our focus towards camping.  Our 2005 Dynamax Grand Sport will now be used for camping rather than just towing a race car around. You can rest assure that when you send me an item to be rebuilt, whether it's a fuel pump, or an engine mount, or whatever, I will treat it as if it were going on my own car.
